Marie Sluss is a pianist and vocalist in addition to being a Registered Architect in the state of Virginia. She holds a minor in Music from Virginia Tech along with her Bachelor of Architecture degree. Ms. Sluss’s musical focus is on piano accompaniment and education. Her recent work includes dual roles as both practice accompanist and mezzo-soprano for the Norfolk A Cappella Ensemble in Norfolk, Virginia. She has extensive experience accompanying large choruses (e.g. musical theater,) small ensembles, as well as soloists. Marie performed as part of several vocal ensembles for Old Dominion University and Virginia Tech: The Old Dominion Madrigal Singers, the Old Dominion Concert Choir, and the Virginia Tech Women’s Chorus. In Spain, Ms. Sluss now enjoys the added time afforded to explore her piano, interacting with young pianists, collaborating with fellow musicians around Cádiz, and playing incidental duets with her three-year-old son.
